The VH31 is a quartz movement from Seiko's Time Module Inc., combining the precision of quartz with the smooth, sweeping motion typically found in mechanical movements. Designed for those who appreciate the aesthetic of a traditional watch but prefer the reliability and low maintenance of quartz, the VH31 offers the best of both worlds.
Now you can use it in our 00:34AM case or our 01:34PM case (or any NH case, actually) with our VH31 movement holder for NH case. Or even better, discover the AQ-1, the first VH31-native case for modding. Only 8.7mm thick !

- Smooth Sweeping Second Hand: Unlike most quartz movements that tick once per second, the VH31 features a second hand that sweeps smoothly, ticking four times per second (4 Hz), mimicking the fluid motion of an automatic watch.
- High Accuracy: With an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month, the VH31 ensures precise timekeeping, requiring minimal adjustment over time.
- Battery Life: Powered by an SR920SW battery, the VH31 offers a battery life of approximately 2 years, making it both efficient and long-lasting.
- Jewels: The movement includes 2 jewels, reducing friction and wear on key components, which enhances its durability and longevity.
- Energy-Saving Function: The VH31 features an energy-saving mode that can be activated when the crown is pulled out, further extending the battery life.

Please note that the photo shows the VH31A movement, while we supply the VH31B, the latest and only version currently available, as the VH31A has been discontinued. There are no functional differences between the two.

One of the four I purchased didn't work. (And yes, swapped batteries before trying a different one.). Have successfully used 2 of the four I purchased. I like the sweeping hand, almost looks like an automatic at first glance.

Simply outstanding! My first VH31 build using this to fit NH35 case and dial went nicely! I ordered 4 and wish I would have gotteh more. Only because shipping was a little much. My advice if you order these make sure to order enough to do several builds. The spacers are priced very good, just shipping cost is my only gripe. If you buy several it will shipping costs more tolerable. Great product indeed and this movement paired well with the spacers. VH31 looks great on the second hand ticking 4 beats per second. Almost like a mechanical watch. Uniformed will think it is an auto.
